Our Instructor-led Basic CDL Pre-Trip course will give a complete understanding of operating components on a Class A CDL vehicle. A proper understanding of the operating components on a commercial motor vehicle is essential for daily tasks in your career as a Professional Truck Driver.

Complete Inspection in Order
The purpose of this section is to get drivers to follow a procedure, which will help you break down the pretrip into key sections, verify all necessary points, and help you identify that the vehicle is in safe working order. Please follow the pre-trip in this order! You do not have to be a mechanic, but you do need to know these components as they function properly to identify out of service issues and complete your driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR). Please study this guide if you desire to pass your pre-trip examination!!!

Common Abbreviations- DO NOT USE THESE ABBREVIATIONS UNLESS YOU FULLY EXPLAIN PROPERLY WHAT THE ABBREVIATION IS CORRECTLY INITIALLY!
1. ABC- Abrasions, Bruises, Bumps, Bubbles, or Cuts- APPLIES TO HOSES, TIRES, AND RUBBER COMPONENTS
2. ICD- Inflation, Condition, Depth
3. FCC- Frays, Cuts, or Corrosion
4. ABS- Anti-Lock Braking System
5. PMS- Properly Mounted, Secured
6. PSI-Pounds Per Square Inch
