Conducting Vehicle Inspection

Excel Driver Services’ Conducting Vehicle Inspection course is designed to train CDL instructors on how to properly teach pre-trip and post-trip inspections to commercial drivers. This program ensures trainers can effectively communicate FMCSA inspection requirements, identify potential vehicle issues, and reinforce safety protocols in compliance with industry standards. Participants will develop expertise in evaluating student inspections, reinforcing best practices, and ensuring thorough pre-trip assessments to prevent mechanical failures and safety hazards. The course is structured to include Classroom, Lab, and Hands-on Demonstration instruction.

Requirements for this Program

1. Must have a valid Class A or B CDL
2. Minimum 3 years of professional driving or training experience
3. Knowledge of DOT regulations and pre-trip inspection standards
4. Ability to pass a background check and drug test
